Jumpstart ANGEL Migration for Spring 2008

Faculty with SLN and CourseSpace experience who are interested in participating in the Spring 2008 Expansion are encouraged to enroll in the “Migration To ANGEL” training that is being offered this Summer.

Training is currently scheduled for May 23, 2007 and June 22, 2007.

Please contact Reena Lederman Gerard, Online Instructional Designer, immediately. If these dates are not convenient, there will be other opportunities for ANGEL training in the Fall 2007 semester.


SUNYIT Adopts ANGEL as Learning Management System

SUNYIT has adopted ANGEL as its first integrated learning management system. ANGEL will serve as the primary means for online interaction between faculty members and the students registered for their classes. It will provide a uniform and stable online environment supporting traditional face-to-face, hybrid and fully online courses. A pilot launch and expansion are scheduled for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters. Demonstration: Angel Course Management Platform

SUNY will soon sign a system-wide agreement to use the Angel Learning system, replacing the current SUNY Learning Network platform. The Angel platform has the potential to support all classess — those taught in traditional classrooms, those taught online, and those taught in some combination of the two. In addition, there are opportunities for both synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.

The Angel platform will be demonstrated November 3 (12:30-2:30), Room 2147 as part of the CETL Technology Demonstration series.
