About

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Leaning (CETL) was established at the SUNY Institute of Technology in June, 2006. Its mission is to encourage, support and expand the use of technology in teaching; promote and facilitate service-based learning; and provide a broad range of pedagogical support services.

During the 2006-2007 academic year CETL will focus on three primary areas: diffusion, assessment and evaluation. The Teaching Technology Collaboratory (TTC) was established to diffuse knowledge, skills and technology to the faculty; assesses the current status of faculty knowledge, skills, technology and interest related to instructional technology; and systematically evaluate various platforms to support multiple modes of classroom instruction, including asynchronous and synchronous online learning and enhanced technologies in traditional classrooms.
